In the past couple of years my husband and I have learned to love wine, and to love learning about wine. From taste to tannins to texture to smell, no bottle is the same. Here are a few ideas for how to learn more about wine while having a great time with friends. So grab a few bottles and a few close friends, and get ready for a fun night!

Winerd

Three bottles of wine make for a fun night at any occasion. That is the basis of a board game called Winerd that's moving through the wine lovers community. Every wine is defined by its aromas. These aroma kits from Williams-Sonoma were designed by French wine enthusiast Jean Lenoir. Each kit contains 12 glass vials of essential aromas to help you refine your palate and expand your tasting vocabulary.

Blind Taste Testing

Seattle local, Totally Tabletops, rents out these fabulous black wine glasses. Cover your wine bottles in a paper bag, pour into these glasses and have your guests guess the wine based solely on taste and smell. You'll be amazed how much you'll learn and how much fun you'll have doing it!
